Titans LB McRath suspended four games

06/14/2010 - Nashville, TN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tennessee Titans linebacker Gerald McRath has been suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing drugs.

The Tennessean confirmed through head coach Jeff Fisher that the league has notified the team of the suspension.

Under NFL guidelines, McRath will still be able to participate in training camp and preseason games. He will miss home games against Oakland, Pittsburgh and Denver as well as a road matchup with the Giants. He'll be available to return October 10 for a road contest versus Dallas.

McRath is a second-year pro out of Southern Miss and played in all 16 games as a rookie in 2009 while compiling 47 tackles and an interception. The 23-year- old made five starts and has been practicing with the first-team defense this offseason.
